Well, today has been somewhat sad. Today I was really missing our friends that we left in LaGrange. I hope they are all doing well and know how much we miss them and love them. I think so many times we underestimate the relationships in our lives. We take for granted how available friends are, and how important they are to us, and then one day your not around them as much and it settles in and you miss them deeply… that’s where I am today…
On an exciting note, we have someone coming to look at our house Friday, so please be praying with us that our house will sell…
Holla…

So I started my new job today and I am still alive. I didn’t fall off a roof, which is definitely a good thing. I am excited about the opportunity. It will also be a great chance to meet new people and possibly talk about our new church.
I am really excited about Oasis, and the type of church it will be. I believe God is going to allow us to be different, which is exciting. Right now the money is coming in kind of slow, but we are believing it’s on the way. Please be in prayer with us that God will impress upon people’s hearts to be apart of The Oasis 120 and that we will find favor with Pastors in our state and beyond.
HOLLA!!

Well, I am supposed to start my new job this afternoon… I am excited and a little apprehensive. I have never been real excited about heights (which is a better way of saying I am afraid of heights). I will have to get up on roofs and measure and do estimates. So, I keep telling myself, it’s only temporary and a means to make money so hopefully the church will be able to afford to pay me before I fall off a roof. PRAY HARD!!
Much Love…

Sitting down after a long weekend. Friday, Tyler and I left Augusta headed back to LaGrange where he would spend the weekend with GG, one of his most favorite people on the planet and I would visit with some friends and pack up some more stuff. Saturday, I woke up and headed to Rome, Ga to celebrate with my old Pastor, Harold Jones… He was celebrating his 50th year in the Ministry, which is an incredible accomplishment, and definitely worthy of honor and celebration. I sent a video and walked out after they showed it and surprised him, he didn’t know I was going to be there. It was there that I was inspired and humbled. 50 years in the ministry, WOW!! While I was listening to all these different people talk about what He and Sis Jones had meant to them, and all the lives he had impacted for the Kingdom, it humbled me and inspired me. I cannot imagine all the problems he faced and all the struggle he must have went through and all the time he wanted to quit, yet he pressed on and continued to do what God had called him to do. I pray i will be able to do the same. I hope that in my time in the ministry I will be able to look back and know that I allowed God to do in me and through me all that he desired. I honor Pastor Jones for the Man of God that he is, the Pastor that he is and the friend he is. I appreciate all that he has done for me and my family.
I am so glad I was able to attend. Not only did I get to celebrate with Bro. and Sis. Jones, but I also was able to visit with some old friends which was great. I spent the night in Rome, and then traveled back to LaGrange, packed up, picked up Tyler, and headed back to Augusta, got a speeding ticket and finally made it back.
An exhausting weekend, but I am looking forward to the week. I start my new Job this week and also am trying to set up some meetings to get some financial assistance, and also trying to set up a couple meetings with a few Pastors in the area. I am also hoping to set up our first Team Meeting in the next couple weeks.
Thanks for all your prayers and support, I will be blogging again soon, to tell you how things are going…
HOLLA!

Last Sunday we announced to our church here in LaGrange that this coming Sunday would be our last. The last 7 1/2 years have been great. We have seen ups and downs, we have experienced victory and defeat (especially on the softball field and basketball court) and we have made some incredible friends who have now become family. I can’t express in adequate words what all the people at our church, especially our old youth staff & our Home Team really mean to us. We have been so blessed to be here at Callaway Park for as long as we have. I have been blessed to serve 2 great men of God in Chad Smith (who will always be one of my closest friends) and Perry Keyt (who has really helped us through this process). I owe so much to Chad for giving me a chance as a young kid who didn’t know anything and bringing out gifts that were inside of me that I didn’t know even existed. I will forever be indebted to him for that. I owe so much to my amazing Youth Staff who I will forever be connected to somehow and someway. Each of you mean the world to me in your own way, and I wouldn’t trade anything for the times that we have shared and the memories we have because of those times, some that can be spoken of and some that cannot. I owe a big thank you to all of the parents who let me be a part of their children’s lives, I hope together we were able to create positive change in each of your students. I will miss the church staff, especially my DAWGS, Buck and My Best friend in this world, Guido Losse. I wish the best for Callaway Park, it’s staff, and it’s people. I ask that anybody and everybody that reads this blog, (which is probably my mom and my wife) to be in prayer for us as we step out on nothing but faith and a dream that God has put in our hearts to plant an amazing church, a church like no other, a church that will change the way people think about church. So in closing, thanks to everyone here in LaGarnge for making our time here special, it truly has been great…
We’re headed to Augusta to do our thing… HOLLA!!!
