My name is Wesley Weatherford.  I am a follower of Jesus, I hesitate to say Christian because I am not sure what that says about me in our society today.  I am a husband to Jessica, a dad to Tyler, a son to Carroll and Theresa, a brother to Jessica and Dylan, and an uncle to Dalton and Emily.  My wife and I just moved from LaGrange, GA, where we spent 7 1/2 years serving in full time ministry at the Callaway Park Church in many different roles, to Augusta, GA, where we are Planting a Church.  The name of the church is Oasis Church, you can check us out at (www.myoasis.tv).  We are excited about the journey God has us on and know that He is with us.  I am passionate about communicating the truth of Christ in creative and innovative ways.  I want to speak the language of our culture so that the church can positively contribute to our culture.  I want to reverse the negative stereotypes of what it means to follow Christ.  I want to truly engage our world. Jessica and I met in Augusta, GA at the Fleming Church of God, when we were in High School, and she has been chasing me ever since.  We moved to LaGrange in 2001 and God blessed us with Tyler in 2006.  Everyday I look at him I can’t believe how much I love him.  I truly did not know I could love someone so much.  I think it helps me catch just a very small glimpse of how God loves me. I am so thankful for Jessica, Tyler, my family, my friends, and most of all the love of Jesus and his grace, mercy, and forgiveness…
